ABOUT ME

Hello again! I'm Brett Posner, a London based software engineer. Having studied business and management at university I sought out a change to a more dynamic and exciting space of work and through that search I was drawn to software engineering.

I enrolled at Le Wagons Full stack web development bootcamp and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life, fuelling my urge to learn and create.

Having recently graduated the intensive 24 - week programme I have learnt a plethora of technologies such as HTML, CSS, Figma, JavaScript, Ruby on rails, SQL, postgresql, git, GitHub and Heroku.

PROJECTS

  • Rwatcher

    Rwatcher was developed as a luxury watch marketplace, it is an Airbnb-inspired clone created using Ruby on Rails. The platform is tailored to watch enthusiasts and offers users a unique marketplace experience to rent and list high-end watches with ease and efficiency enabled through features such as geotagging and a virtual map to explore listings. The app was a collaborative effort created by an agile team of three over two weeks.

  • Refinder

    Refinder is a mobile app which, focuses on enabling users to locate lost items and then reuniting them with their lost items all through an intuitive location-based search system in order to achieve successful item recovery. This was done through a variety of inbuilt features such as our user-to-user chat function and our geotagging functionality for reporting and searching for items. Refinder was built by an agile team of three over four and a half weeks.

  • Carstagram

    I developed Carstagram, a fully functional Instagram inspired clone with a variety of exciting features themed around the sharing of automotive based content. It was built from the ground up using Ruby on Rails and showcases my ability to independently build a feature rich social media platform. It boasts dynamic features such as full chat funcitonality, image posting,liking and commenting and a full follow system with private and public users. Currently the stories funcitonality is still under development
